Dr Asad is a Research Scientist in the Weed Research Unit of the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI), based in Wagga Wagga. Asad joined the DPI in 2017 to head up research for both cropping and environmental weeds. Asad’s research broadly focuses on weed ecology and biological invasions, weed spatial intelligence, distribution risk modelling, herbicide resistance, robotic resistant weed detection and remote sensing (airborne) for weed mapping and modelling to fight weeds in complex landscapes.
