Abstract

Biography

Nicola Dixon has worked in natural resource management for 20 years. She started her career in bush regeneration before becoming a park ranger and then worked as a community support officer with Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Management Authority, supporting the region’s 6,500 regular Bushcare environmental volunteers and volunteer program managers with training, resources, and events. She then moved into biodiversity project management roles, before taking on management of the NSW Weeds Action Program in Greater Sydney. Nicola started working for the NSW Department of Primary Industries in 2019, first joining the capacity building and engagement team, and then the Weeds Program and Responses team, where she currently works as a State Priority Weeds Coordinator, supporting the Greater Sydney, Northern Tablelands and North West regions and leading the NSW parthenium weed response.
