David Pomery is the Chief Biosecurity Weeds Officer for the Illawarra District Weeds Authority where he oversees the management, planning and inspection for priority weeds under the Biosecurity Act in his three member council areas. David has a Bachelors degree in science with Honours from the University of Wollonong. He has over 30 years experience in the weed industry. He was Prseident of the NSW Weeds Officers Association for 11 years (2006-2017) and a recipient of the Stephenson NSW Weeds Officer Award in 2017. David is married with two children and lives on a rural property near Wollongong.
