Marita Sydes has been the regional weed coordinator with the Central Tablelands Local Land Services based in Orange NSW for the last 5 years. Since joining the Local Land Services Marita has been working on building awareness and action on Sticky nightshade an emerging weed in the region. Aside from work on sticky nightshade, Marita has worked to build a strong regional approach to weed management in the central tablelands having worked with local control authorities and other organisations on the Regional Weed Committee to ensure consistent delivery of priority weed management across the region.
