Jesse Telford a proud Aboriginal man from Minjungbal country, Northern NSW. Lives at Evans Head, Bandjalang country both part of the Bundjalung Nation and just south of Tweed Heads. Jesse has worked in the environmental industry for 10 years in variety of roles over that time, caring for country on Indigenous Protected Area, Weed Biosecurity roles being some of the most memorable. Jesse works at Rous County Council leading the Miconia Calvescens project. This prohibited matter species requires Jesse to create awareness, educate the public about the threat of Miconia, also conduct surveillance to hopefully eradicate the species from NSW.
