Stuart Mackay has served as the Project Weeds Officer for Kempsey Shire Council since November 2021. In this role, he focuses on inspections and compliance of controlling Tropical Soda Apple, a highly invasive weed that threatens both the local environment and agricultural sector of the community. With a background in farming, Stuart brings a practical understanding of the challenges faced by landowners. This experience enables him to engage effectively with landholders and the wider community in working together to protect the environment of the Macleay Valley.

Greg holds over 20 years within the Biosecurity Weeds sector. He has led numerous Biosecurity initiatives and programs including the Tropical Soda Apple best practice manual & the award-winning Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund Tropical Soda Apple program.
