Synopsis
This presentation explores Taiwan’s journey toward transforming residential child care, aligning with international trends of de-institutionalization and addressing the complex needs of children in care. The session will reflect on the implementation of the CARE model in Taiwan over the past year and a half, highlighting key strategies, collaborations, and challenges.

Biography
Eli Yihsun Lee is Quality Assurance Coordinatior at Holy Word Children and Youth Foundation in Taiwan, which provides residential and educational programs for children living in alternative care. He also provides external trainging, supervision, and counsulation with serveral residential agencies to achieve better service outcomes. Eli has previously worked as direct careworker for CARE orgnizations in Canada, Ranch Ehrlo Soceity and Oak Hill Ranch. He is the translator of the traditional Chinese version of CARE 3rd edition.
