Catherine O’Byrne is a National Manager, Research and Evaluation at The Smith Family. Catherine has eight years experience as a researcher with The Smith Family, focusing on the education of Australian children and young people experiencing disadvantage. She is experienced in managing research and evaluation projects, drawing on quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

Biography
Sulabha (BA Economics (Hons), MA (International Studies)) is a senior leader at The Smith Family responsible for a wide range of The Smith Family’s strategic initiatives, program innovation and systems design. She recently led an organisation wide initiative to grow The Smith Family’s flagship program, Learning for Life, to support education outcomes of over 56,200 Australian children.
A leader in the not-for-profit sector for two decades, Sulabha has extensive experience in developing and evaluating policy and programs for children birth to 12 years, leading program innovation and design, managing cross-functional projects and facilitating systems change in vulnerable disadvantaged communities across Australia.
