Dr Milat is a respected senior executive and leads the NSW Ministry of Health Evidence and Evaluation Unit. The unit oversees: research funding schemes; a strategic research and evaluation service; Australia’s largest population Health Training Programs in Public Health, Biostatistics and Aboriginal Population Health. His research focuses on implementation science, scale up, impact assessment and evaluation. Dr Milat ranked in the top 0.1% of researchers globally in program evaluation. Dr Milat has published >150 academic journal papers and is an author on several international consensus statements related to implementation, scale-up and evaluation methods.
