Dr Melder has extensive experience in knowledge translation, having facilitated the utilisation of evidence to inform decision making at Victoria’s largest health service. Her research has involved examination of the processes involved in implementing improvements in healthcare. She has developed guidelines for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (UK). She has of public health research experience, having worked at the Cochrane Consumer and Communication Review Group, and in Indigenous health at the Menzies School of Health Research. She currently works as an Implementation Practitioner collaborating with industry partners, providing guidance and support to ensure implementation success.
