Adapting and Implementing Trauma and Violence Informed Care training to improve Indigenous healthcare: a protocol

Abstract

Biography

Renee Fiolet is an early-career researcher working as a Dean’s Strategic Post Doctoral Research Fellow in Knowledge Translation at Deakin University, and is undertaking the 2023 Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health. She is passionate about improving equity and access in health, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Her PhD involved working with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to identify their barriers to accessing care for family violence and to co-design and launch a family violence resource. She strongly believes in de-colonising research approaches and thorough community engagement in health design and response.
