Edcel is passionate about driving education reform with a comprehensive understanding of the system, encompassing both top-down and bottom-up approaches. Currently serving as the Data and Impact Assessment Director at Teach for the Philippines, he plays a crucial role in designing and implementing policies, mechanisms, and systems that effectively measure the success of the organization's education programs and interventions. Edcel holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and a post-graduate degree in Master of Technology Management from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
