This session will provide an introduction to drug use evaluation and clinical audits. Pharmacists will learn the process of undertaking a drug use evaluation, how to use the results of drug use evaluation/clinical audits to improve patient care, and resources available to support pharmacists undertaking these activities.

• Identify the goals of drug use evaluation and clinical audits
• Describe the process for undertaking drug use evaluation and clinical audits
• Discuss the role of the pharmacist in undertaking drug audits and evaluations to optimise patient care.
