Biography
Shantai Croisdale has worked at VACCA for over 10 years, she currently holds the position of A/Director of Client Practice and Evidence Development. She has more than 20 years Shantai has worked in a range of positions in Child and Family Services Sector, commencing as a Child Protection Practitioner and holding a number of senior project management roles in government, the community sector and Aboriginal organisations. These roles have focused on business development, co-design of services, implementation of services, sector reform and building an Aboriginal evidence base of programs and practice.
Joanne Luke
How ethical and equitable is Western evidence practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander settings?
Biography
Joanne Luke is an Aboriginal woman, researcher, and PhD candidate with the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Melbourne. Joanne has worked as an Aboriginal health epidemiologist and public health researcher for 15 years in both the University and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector. Her diverse research includes quantitative and qualitative research across the areas of cardiovascular disease, healthy ageing, adolescent health, comprehensive primary health care, program evaluation, evidence-based practice, and health systems research.
