Sam Ansell - Originally from the UK, Sam moved to Melbourne in 2018 to work with Berry Street. Qualifying as a social worker in 2011, Sam has worked in various organisations that work with children and young people living in care. A focus for Sam has been breaking down the power dynamic that impacts professionals and families in social care and keeping the voices of young people at the centre of his work. Since 2018 Sam is applying his experience and knowledge to implementing Australia's first evidenced-based model within Residential care, first introduced by Berry Street in 2015.
