Bianca Albers, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich’s Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care and a seasoned organisational leader, investigator, and project manager with 15+ years’ experience in promoting the uptake of evidence in policy and practice in health and human services.
Before joining academia, Bianca worked in both government, and non-government organizations in Denmark and Australia with a focus on enabling the uptake and use of research findings in child and family services and early childhood education.
In her research, Bianca focuses on ways to enhance the capacities of organisations and service systems to develop, implement and sustain research-supported interventions, among others in areas such as infection prevention and control and cancer screening. Systematic knowledge synthesis and qualitative methods are central tools in this work. With a background in political science, Bianca also maintains a deep interest for the interface between implementation science and policy implementation.
Bianca is a co-founder and member of the European Implementation Collaborative (EIC) and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Implementation Research and Practice.

Micaela Cronin commenced as Australia’s first Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commissioner on 1 November 2022. Micaela began her career as a social worker in family violence and sexual assault services, and has held leadership roles across the social service sector in Australia and internationally, including President of ACOSS. Micaela was the CEO of an international non-government organisation based in Asia, working to build global service delivery and strategic partnerships to tackle human trafficking and human rights abuses. In 2014, Micaela was awarded the Robin Clark Leadership award, Victoria’s most prestigious Children’s Protection award, recognising a leader who inspires others in achieving the best outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Robyn Mildon, PhD, is an internationally recognised figure in the field of research translation and implementation science and program and policy evaluations in health, education and social services. She is the Founding Executive Director of the Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI www.ceiglobal.org ), a global social purpose organisation whose work now spans across 8 countries. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University, a Visiting Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Co-Director of the recently established Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions (BISI), National University of Singapore, and Chair of the Evidence and Implementation Summit 2021 (www.eisummit.org).
CEI is a not-for-profit intermediary organisation with offices in Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Norway and academic partnerships across the globe. Since establishing CEI in 2016, Robyn has overseen the rapid growth of the Centre, attracting over 200 funded projects with a total value of over $55 million dollars.
Over her career, Robyn’s work has helped to advance the implementation of better evidence in policy and practice settings, improving the quality and effectiveness of health, education and human services. She has authored or co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, commissioned evidence reviews and book chapters including being a co-author of an edited book Implementation Science 3.0 (Springer, 2020).
In 2022 she was awarded the John Westbrook Award for Contributions to Knowledge Translation by the Campbell Collaboration. This international award recognises outstanding contributions to knowledge translation and the dissemination and implementation of evidence.
Robyn was the founding Chair of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Australasian Implementation Conference (AIC) was the Co-Chair for the 2018 Global Evidence and Implementation Conference and is Chair for the Evidence and Implementation Summit.
Dr Vivian Tseng

Vivian Tseng is President and CEO of the Foundation for Child Development, a private foundation dedicated to harnessing the power of research to ensure that all young children benefit from early learning experiences that affirm their individual, family, and community assets, fortify them against harmful consequences arising from poverty, racism, prejudice, and discrimination, and strengthen their developmental potential. Prior to FCD, Dr. Tseng served as Senior Vice President, Programs, at the William T. Grant Foundation where she led initiatives to connect research, policy, and practice.
She is widely recognized for her leadership role in building an interdisciplinary field of research on research use in policy and practice, expanding research-practice partnerships, and supporting a broader movement to democratize evidence. She regularly speaks to international and domestic audiences on evidence-informed policy and practice. Her research on racial, cultural, and immigration influences on child development have been published in Child Development and her research on promoting social change through research and philanthropy have appeared in the American Journal of Community Psychology, American Psychologist, and Humanities and Social Sciences Communications.
Dr. Tseng’s career reflects an abiding commitment to racial equity. She has fostered greater equity in grantmaking, developed funding programs to support young researchers of color and nonprofit leaders from racially minoritized and LGBTQ communities, and mentored countless junior colleagues throughout her career.
Dr. Tseng received her Ph.D. from NYU and her B.A. from UCLA and serves on the Boards of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (Board chair), Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, and the Federation of Associations in the Behavioral and Brain Sciences (Board Secretary).
