Biography
Dr. Adisamita is Professor at the Department of Epidemiology Faculty of Public Health University of Indonesia, Indonesia. Currently, she also serves as the Vice Dean for Administration at the Faculty of Public Health. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate degree from the School of Medicine, Yale University. Her research interest lies in the area of perinatal, maternal and child health. Her research involves collaborations with international partners. She was the Country-Level Program Leader for Process Measurement and Perinatal Outcome for Immpact (Initiative for Maternal Mortality Program Assessment), a global research program aiming at reducing maternal mortality through the identification of effective and efficient safe motherhood program based on evidence. Over the past decade, she has been working with the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Indonesia in establishing, piloting and implementing maternal and child health-related programs, such as the development of National Program of Maternal Audit, Birth Defect Surveillance, and Confidential Enquiry into Maternal Death. Currently, she is assisting the MoH in establishing the Maternal Death Surveillance and Response program in Indonesia, with the support from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). She is the leader of Health Evaluation and Applied Research Development (HEARD) – University of Indonesia Sub-Regional Anchor Partner.

Biography
Iram Barida is researcher at the Center for Community Health of the National Institute for Health Research and Development – Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia. Currently, she is also a member of the national level team for the National Health Survey and Health Indicators Survey. She is also responsible at province level for the National Health Human Resources Survey. Her main responsibility includes generate data and provides recommendations for evidence-based decision making for health program at the Ministry of Health of Indonesia. She attended the Rapid Systematic Review course held by the Faculty of Public Health University of Indonesia through USAID’s HEARD Project and is currently working with her team to complete the Rapid Systematic Review. She earned her master degree in Public Health from the University of Indonesia.

Biography
Yulia has more than 15 years experiences specialized in research design and analysis, project management and coordination. She has a postgraduate level in public health, majoring in Epidemiology and most of professional experiences related to maternal, newborn, and child health research. She has experience in strategic planning and operational management: management of field research, at central government, district/sub-district, health facility and community levels including staff, reporting and budgets. Her capabilities also include effective collaboration with research partners at all levels, including with the government institutions and support/coordinate the development of strategic an operational plans and activities with the inputs of various partners (local and international). She also has a strong knowledge on health system in Indonesia as she experienced in work closely with Ministry of Health (MOH) at central level down to provincial and district (Provincial and District Health Offices/Dinkes) in many programs/projects. Her professional experiences also include design and implementation of frameworks for the monitoring and evaluation of programs, and generating and disseminating research findings. Currently, she is working in a team to assist the MOH in establishing the Maternal Death Surveillance and Response program in Indonesia, with the support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). She is also the Evaluative Research Specialist of the Health Evaluation and Applied Research Development (HEARD) Project – University of Indonesia Sub-Regional Anchor Partner. Yulia also serves as a Consultant for the Indonesia-Supporting Primary Health Care Reform (I-SPHERE) Program for Results with The World Bank Indonesia.

Biography
Trisari Anggondowati, Ph.D. is a researcher at the Center for Family Welfare, Faculty of Public Health University of Indonesia. Her current work focuses on generating and synthesizing evidence for improving maternal and child health. Over the past decade, she has been involved in multiple research in the area of maternal and child health, some of them involve collaboration with international experts. Her research includes using a community-based approach to measure maternal and neonatal mortality rate, and piloting the Maternal Death Surveillance and Response (MDSR) program in Indonesia. She earned her bachelor and master degree from the University of Indonesia, and her doctorate in Epidemiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is currently a part of the Health Evaluation and Applied Research Development (HEARD) – University of Indonesia Sub-Regional Anchor Partner; a USAID-funded project that focuses on evaluative and targeted research that accelerates research-to-use processes.

Septyana Choirunisa is a researcher for Development of A Referral System of Kangaroo Mother Care for Low Birth Weight Babies project by Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia, funded by NAS and USAID. She earned her bachelor degree in Public Health, Universitas Indonesia majoring in Epidemiology, and currently as a teaching assistant in Faculty of Public Health. Her interests include maternal and child health-related area, and was previously involved in health research collaboration with Center of Epidemiology Research and Surveillance Universitas Indonesia, UNICEF, local government and Directorate General of Disease Control and Environmental Health-MoH of Indonesia.
