Alex was previously CEO of the Institute for Safety Compensation and Recovery Research and Executive Director of the Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative. He has published widely, led many national and international research projects, and provided technical and policy advice to organisations including government authorities, for-profit and for-purpose initiatives. He is recognised internationally as a leading authority on return to work and injury compensation system policy and practice. Alex is passionate about the role good work can play in maintaining and improving health, and the role that research can play in supporting good policy and practice. By working in partnership with organisations that can effect change in society, he aims to make a positive impact on the health of Australia’s working age population.
