Biography
Romina Cavatassi is a Senior natural resource economist with the Research and Impact Assessment (RIA) division in the Strategy and Knowledge Department of IFAD.
Her areas of expertise are impact evaluation of projects and programmes, survey design and data collection.
Prior to joining IFAD, Romina worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations where she focused on development and natural resource economics. Over the last few years she worked on Climate Smart Agriculture and earlier on agrobiodiversity.
She holds a PhD in Natural Resources and Development Economics from the Wageningen University in the Netherlands, a Master of Science in Environmental Assessment and Evaluation from the London School of Economics in the UK and a Master level degree in Economics from the University of Bologna, Italy.
