#295 - Uptake of clinical practice guidelines by South African physiotherapists: insights and expectations
Biography
Jessica is busy with her PhD in Physiotherapy entitled "A tailored training programme for South African physiotherapists on the use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines when treating patients with acute and sub- acute low back pain" at Stellenbosch University. She has a special focus on knowledge translation from research evidence into practice by means of teaching strategies. She obtained her undergraduate Physiotherapy degree from Stellenbosch University in 2004 and completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Western Australia in 2014. She has been involved in clinical practice for 14 years. She was also involved in clinical supervision and teaching in Orthopaedic physiotherapy at Stellenbosch University for the past 10 years.
