Biography
Ann is currently a Sr M&E Advisor for Education and Life Skills at World Vision International, based in Melbourne Australia. She holds a PhD in Educational Measurement Research & Evaluation (EMRE) and a Master’s degree in Education Research & Evaluation. Before joining World Vision, Ann worked for Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) as a researcher in the team that coordinates and runs national and international surveys like PISA, TIMSS & PIRLS and ICILS. Her skills and credentials include: solid expertise in teaching and assessment (Mathematics), educational programs design, review and evaluation; test items development and psychometric testing; designing surveys and measurement tools. She has over fifteen year experience in education development work in international settings; over10 year experience with applied evaluative research design – including quasi-experimental designs for impact evaluation, developing M&E frameworks, field data collection and analysis; extensive experience in statistical analysis and reporting. She thrives in supporting/mentoring staff and junior researchers in research and evaluation methodologies. Her teaching experience includes post graduate courses in quantitative research and evaluation methodology, including sample designs, developing survey tools, data collection and statistical analysis using SPSS. She is also a multi-lingual communicator.
