Biography
Dr Nicole Nathan has more than 15 years’ experience as a health promotion manager with Hunter New England (HNE) Population Health, where her primary role is to lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver child obesity prevention programs to the community. In 2016 Dr Nathan was awarded a two-year NHMRC TRIP Fellowship, a three-year HNE Clinical Research Fellowship and a prestigious Sir Winston Churchill Fellowship, all of which focus on the science of implementation to improve the uptake of physical activity policies in schools. Dr Nathan is currently leading an NHMRC funded trial to increase Australian schools’ implementation of a mandatory physical activity policy.

Biography
Dr Jannah Jones is a dietitian and health promotion practitioner with more than 8 years’ experience in the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based child obesity prevention programs delivered in early childhood education and care settings. Dr Jones holds a PhD in behavioural science from the University of Newcastle and is currently employed as a program manager at Hunter New England Population Health. In her current role she oversees an integrated research-practice team to plan, deliver and evaluate a series of randomised trials which aim to facilitate the implementation of physical activity policies and practices in centre-based childcare services.

Biography
Dr Rachel Sutherland is an experienced Public Health Nutritionist, Health Promotion Practitioner and Program Manager and has worked in the field of Population Health and Public Health Nutrition for more than 15 years. Rachel is currently an NHMRC TRIP Fellow and employed as the Program Manager for the Physical Activity for Everyone implementation trial, a randomised controlled trial in secondary schools which aims to increase the adoption of school physical activity practice to increased physical activity and improve weight status in adolescents.

Biography
Dr Meghan Finch is a Clinical Research Fellow and experienced Program Manager working in a research and practice integrated role within Hunter New England Population Health and the University of Newcastle. Her 15 year career in health promotion has focused on developing and evaluating strategies to build the capacity of childcare services to routinely implement policies and practices that positively impact on diet and physical activity behaviours of young children. In 2017 she was awarded her PhD which focused on supporting the implementation of physical activity policies and practices in childcare. She is lead for two trials focused on supporting the implementation of healthy eating practices in centre-based childcare services and collaborator on an additional trial focused on physical activity behaviours.
