Biography
Dr Vaughan is Associate Director, Evidence for Learning and is responsible for the marketing, product development, community leadership and strategy for the Teaching & Learning Toolkit. Tanya has worked in education in policy design and implementation in AITSL, ACARA and PAI. She has consulted on international and national projects in leadership and evaluation with Learning First and Educational Transformations.
She was lead consultant in investigating the impact of programs in the arts on outcomes for students in highly disadvantaged settings. A summary of the research entitled Bridging the Gap in School Achievement through the Arts (Vaughan, Harris & Caldwell, 2011) was launched at Parliament House. Tanya has co-authored one international book, three chapters, seven journal articles and facilitated 67 presentations/workshops in educational research. She is co-author of Transforming Education through The Arts (Caldwell & Vaughan, 2012) and chief Investigator for evaluation of Creative Arts Indigenous Parent Engagement (Vaughan & Caldwell 2017). Tanya taught at the senior secondary level in science and coordinated Biology.
Tanya became an Honorary Fellow at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne in 2011. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, Professional Certificate in Instructional Leadership and Doctor of Philosophy.
Mr John Cleary

Biography
John Cleary is the Principal at Casuarina Street Primary School in the town of Katherine in the Northern Territory. Alongside this role, John is also the lead Principal in establishing the NT Learning Commission, an initiative which has built the place of student led research and the use of be Impact evaluation cycle across 16 schools in 2018.
John recently led the system wide consultation in be development of the Education NT Strategic Framework (2018-2022) and also leads work across the Northern Territory as part of his role within the Performance, Evidence and Improvement reference committee which is supporting the 154 schools across the department of education to firmly establish the place of evidence and measures for growth and improvement within school strategic development and improvement cycles.
John was recently named as one of 12 National Schools Plus Teaching Fellows for 2018 and has been recognised nationally for his achievements as a Principal and also as a contributor to the work of a number of organizations and improvement initiatives including his work with AITSL and the place of evidence within the accreditation of Highly Accomplished and Lead Teachers across Australia.
Dr Pauline Ho

Biography
Pauline is Associate Director at Evidence for Learning and leads the strategic and community leadership of the Learning Impact Fund trials. Her work primarily focused on building evidence through the strategic development of robust evaluations that test and implement effective programs and approaches. She leads the four independent Evidence for Learning randomised controlled trials currently underway in Australia, and broker collaboration between research and program development to establish the strong support and use of evidence and measures for improving student growth.
Pauline was a teacher practitioner for seven years, and later in research with a focus on quality teacher education, quality assurance and evaluation at Deakin University and the National Institute of Education, Singapore. She later led several national and state-funded evaluations projects in both Education and Health sectors including the ministerial endorsed Longitudinal Teacher Education Workforce Study (LTEWS) and the national Evaluation of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
Pauline graduated with a PhD in Education from the University of Sydney. Her PhD thesis investigates the impact of policy and curriculum on the academic and social outcomes of academically disadvantaged students, recognised for several fellowship awards.

Biography
Helen is a highly experienced and dedicated educational consultant with over 18 years of experience in both the primary and secondary education settings, building the capacity of teachers, school and system leaders to improve the academic progress and outcomes for all students. She is the Principal of Keilor Views PS located in the western suburbs of Melbourne with a deep knowledge of research-based practices that make the greatest impact for learners at her school. Helen is currently studying a Masters of Education Policy (International) at Melbourne University. Helen’s passion is every student, every teacher, every school; and her super power is to ‘cause learning.’
