#149 - Using digital technologies to achieve fidelity and impact in real-world mental health service delivery
Biography
Dr. Melissa DeRosier is a licensed clinical psychologist who has devoted her career to improving the health and well-being of children and families. Over the past 25 years, she has served as PI on more than 40 federally funded research projects to advance our understanding of the causes and consequences of significant societal issues, such as school violence and children’s mental health. To help bridge the research-to-practice gap, Dr. DeRosier founded 3C Institute in 2001 with a mission to enhance social, emotional, and behavioral health. 3C collaborates with researchers, intervention developers, and providers across the U.S. and abroad to create innovative, scalable digital health technologies that effectively improve the quality of mental health service delivery and achieve significant improvements in health and well-being.
Dr. DeRosier obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Virginia. She achieved her master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Virginia and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of NC at Chapel Hill. Dr. DeRosier completed her clinical internship at George Washington University and a post-doctoral fellowship in Mental Health Services Research at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department of Duke University Medical Center.
